Send clients a secure upload link for each matter. They attach signed agreements, evidence files, and supporting documents — no portal login, no confused phone calls. Files arrive encrypted and ready to review.
Scenarios that cost your practice time
The client who can't use the portal
Your case management system has a client portal. Your client is 68 years old. You've spent more time explaining how to log in than it would have taken to drive to their house.
"I emailed it last week"
It came as an inline attachment with no subject line, buried in a thread about something else. Or it went to spam. Or it's there but it's a photo, not a scan, and the signature is cut off.
Court deadline tomorrow
You need the signed witness statement before 9am. Your client says they'll send it tonight. You've been 'waiting on the client' before on tight deadlines. You know how this can go.
Simple enough that your least tech-savvy client can use it without a phone call to explain.
Name it after the matter or client reference. Add your instruction in plain English: 'Please upload your signed witness statement and any correspondence from the other party.' Set a deadline if there's a court date.
Paste the link into any communication. Set an automatic reminder so the system follows up if they haven't uploaded with enough time for you to review before the deadline.
Every document goes straight to encrypted storage under your request. Only you can access them. Download everything for your case file in one click.
Set up a request with clear instructions and accepted file types. Clients can't submit a blurry photo when you need a PDF — they see exactly what's required before they upload.

Matter: Johnson v. Blackwell — Client Evidence Pack
Deadline: 3 days before hearing · 14 Apr 2026
Security by design
Files go directly from the client's browser to encrypted cloud storage. They never pass through our servers. Each link is cryptographically unique. Only you can access the files.
Client documents are confidential. Here's what we do to keep them that way.
Client documents go from their device directly to encrypted cloud storage via pre-signed URLs. Our application never handles the file payload.
TLS 1.3 in transit. AES-256 at rest. The same standards used by financial institutions.
Every upload link uses a cryptographically random token. It cannot be guessed, indexed, or discovered by anyone you haven't shared it with.
Set a deadline — the link expires automatically. Close a request manually at any time. After either, no more uploads are possible even if the link is forwarded.
Each request is completely separate. A client who uploads to one matter cannot see or access any other request — even if they have the URL.
Your clients never create a login or hand over personal data. They open the link, upload, and that's it. No account data to protect from their side.
"Our clients range from young professionals to elderly individuals who have never used a shared drive in their lives. The upload link just works for all of them. I send it in the initial engagement email, and documents arrive without a single confused phone call. For something handling sensitive legal documents, I also appreciate that it actually takes security seriously."
